Painting the Kitchen - Part 1

Sarah had a day off today and decided to sand the kitchen walls and get the first bit of paint on them too. The walls were pretty rough so it required a bit more sanding than initially thought, all in all a messy but satisfying job.

Good news too, the house appraisal came back and the house and land value has gone up 6-8% in the past year. That's not a bad starting point, and now we know what we are working with we can selectively choose what aspects of the property are most advantageous to improve.  Street appeal is pretty high on the list - good thing Sarah is a landscape architect - it will be a good project for her to get into!

Jeremy has been doing a great job tidying up a few things and giving away some furniture that we don't need to help make the space feel bigger.  He also started his new job 2 weeks ago so has been focused on learning the ropes and getting used to a different work environment.

Sarah has been busy with her job at the shop - picking up extra hours when she can - especially now that it's the Christmas season; it's a good time to be working in retail.

Only 25 days to Christmas!
