Local Native Garden Inspiration

I took these photos of a local subdivision near our house.  Which I had always driven past but never ventured into to explore.

What I stumbled on was a good example of the style of garden we are creating at our place.  

With the bark mulch, gravel and rocks forming the hardscape and the native plants complementing them with their form, colours and textures.  

In fact many of these plants in these photos already have a home in our front garden!

This was part of a playground - using railway sleepers and blocks nestled among the plants 

In the afternoon the metal sides of the bridge cast an attractive pattern on the ground

This has given us some great inspiration for our garden and we can't wait until our plants are as big as these ones! Check out our last garden blog post here to see where we are at in the garden...
